Alumni Association

所有大学毕业生自动成为校友会会员. All Association members receive the Range Rider and other Alumni mailings and communications.

This governing body for the Alumni Association meets regularly and assists in structuring alumni-related programming. 这个由21名成员(最多)组成的工作委员会代表了各种各样的人口统计数据. They meet 4-5 times a year. 每一位成员都对董事会的成功不可或缺.

The Alumni Association Board, 与校友参与办公室合作, seeks to communicate with alumni and to provide avenues for alumni to continue and further their relationship with HSU and with others among the 25,000 alumni throughout the world.

The Hardin Simmons Board of Young Associates (BYA) is a select group of alumni who volunteer to help HSU achieve its mission. Members are under the age of 40 and passionate about providing quality education in a Christian environment for all HSU students.

The Board is involved in many areas including but not limited to; assisting in recruitment, fundraising, 促进学术卓越和学生领导能力, 鼓励校友支持和参与, 并根据要求为项目和活动提供协助.

Membership is offered to applicants who are three years past their graduation date and under the age of 40. 成员总数不超过75人. Membership to the Board is granted upon invitation through the BYA membership committee with the approval of the University and Board of Trustees.

校友服务奖是哈佛大学可以授予的最高校友荣誉. It has been presented since 1943 to former student(s) who has contributed the most in his or her field of endeavor toward the betterment of HSU, 或者谁为大学做出了最大的贡献. Awards are selected by a committee whose members are established by a campus leadership role.

2024 John J. Keeter, Jr. Alumni Service Award

Ms. Dorothy (Houston) Kiser, ’65/’92

Ms. Dorothy (Houston) Kiser earned a Bachelor of Science in religious education from HSU in 1965 and an MBA in 1992. 1980年，多萝西开始了她30年的职业生涯. 她曾担任文理学院院长的秘书, Assistant Registrar, Registrar, 负责学生档案和注册的副总裁.  她活跃于当地的注册机构, state, regional, and nation levels, 担任总裁和许多其他领导职务. 1988年，她被评为中大年度杰出教职员.

This award, given since 1970, is presented to alumni whose personal and professional accomplishments are exemplary of the ideals and aims of the University and thus bring honor to HSU. Awards are selected by a committee whose members are established by a campus leadership role.

2024 Distinguished Alumni Award

Dr. Tracy (Sheehy) Manly ’93

Dr. Tracy (Sheehy) Manly earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from HSU in 1993. 她在高等教育领域的职业生涯长达25年. Since January 2023, she has served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Administration at Southwest Baptist University. Immediately prior, she was the Acting Provost / Senior Vice Provost for Academic Initiatives and Albert Rogers Professor of Accounting at the University of Tulsa. Dr. Manly has published more than 25 refereed journal articles and book chapters on topics related to business ethics, accounting instruction, and tax compliance and policy.

Mr. Matthew Morris ’02

Mr. Matthew Morris earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from HSU in 2002.  Hired by Gus Bates Insurance & 作为他们的第六名员工，Matt帮助Gus Bates I & 我的收入从90万美元增长到1500万美元. 在担任格斯·贝茨一世的总裁期间 & 我，马特在2020年与HUB国际合并. As an HSU student, Matthew was a member of Delta Mu Delta business fraternity and played the French horn in the HSU Concert Band. He was recognized as an All-American Offensive Lineman while on the HSU Cowboy football team. Matt has stayed connected to HSU over the years and served on the Board of Young Associates from 2006-2011.
Dr. Sarah (Jones) Morris ’02

Dr. 莎拉(琼斯)莫里斯是莎拉J. 莫里斯，DDS和联合公司在沃斯堡，得克萨斯州. 她是多个地方的会员, state, and international dental associations and has been voted by peers as one of Fort Worth’s “Top Docs” and “Top Dentists” each year since 2007. 在美国排名前4%的牙医中，Dr. 莫里斯被选为国际牙科学院的研究员. In her spare time, 萨拉在多个组织做志愿者, 为有需要的人提供免费牙科护理.

Recipients of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award have achieved a significant level of distinction within their chosen field or have brought extraordinary benefit to the world. 它们反映了今天大学生和校友的素质和水平. At the time of their selection, recipients have graduated from Hardin-Simmons not more than 20 years prior and are not over the age of 45.

Mrs. Sarah (Wesley) Cameron ’12

Sarah Cameron于2012年毕业于HSU，获得社会工作BBS学位. After graduation, 她回到亚利桑那州的家，开始在“希望之手”工作, a Christian pregnancy center where she assisted women as an advocate for their health and healing.

Sarah works as a foster care trainer at Christian Family Care Agency where she uses her hands-on-experience as a foster parent to teach, 装备和支持下一代寄养家庭. She also works at Sage Creek Ranch Events as an event manager where she creates experiences that make her clients feel seen and heard, 让他们的活动尽可能的特别.

Dr. Jordan Daniel ’07

Jordan Daniel received a BBS degree in sport, fitness, and leisure studies in 2007 and a M.E. 2008年获得体育和娱乐管理硕士学位. In 2013 he received a Ph.D. 从事娱乐、公园和旅游科学研究&M University.

Jordan is an associate professor in the department of kinesiology at Angelo State University. 最初于2013年被聘为人体运动学教练, 他已晋升为教授. He has presented at multiple conferences and published or co-published numerous articles in the sports and recreation arena.

Jordan and his wife Jill have three daughters and are members of Southland Baptist Church in San Angelo.
Dr. Ben Lovvorn ’04

Ben Lovvorn serves as the Executive Pastor of First Baptist Church Dallas where he leads and oversees all matters related to the church’s ministry, administration, and operation. 洛夫沃恩还领导着达拉斯联邦广播公司的全球广播部, Pathway to Victory, which airs on over 1,000 radio stations and 11,000 cable and satellite systems and serves as the President of First Dallas Media which owns and operates one of the most listened to Christian radio stations in the country.
